What is Twitter?

tweeties

Twitter is a website that allows people to post a simple comment, link or thought of 140 characters or less. Some people call it “microblogging”. Currently, there are millions of people using Twitter and it can be used as a way to keep up with friends and family, get to know new people with similar interests or find information on a specific topic or group. All of us here at NursesPTO use Twitter to communicate with each other and new friends we’ve met on the site. It’s kind of like a giant cocktail party where you can roam from conversation to conversation and meet people you would never have otherwise met from all over the world. It’s also a phenomenal bargain hunting tool, too! You can find people passing on links to free shipping from major retailers, discounted airline prices and more. Signing-up is free so join us today! There are multiple ways to use Twitter. We generally use the iPhone app Tweetie when we are on the road, or Tweetdeck when we are at home with our computer.

To follow us on Twitter, click on the little bird under our profile pictures at the bottom of the page. We are @nursewendy, @nursejennifer, and @lipodoc.
